About Us
Shasta Community Gatherings, Inc. is a volunteer-run nonprofit dedicated to creating free, inclusive, family-friendly events for the Shasta Lake community.
We believe in the power of connection, celebration, and shared experiences — especially in small towns like ours where opportunities for fun and togetherness can be few and far between.
🎃 How It Started
Our organization was born from a love of Halloween and a desire to fill a gap in the local event scene. What started as a simple idea turned into the Shasta Lake Halloween Carnival, a joyful annual event that brings together kids, families, vendors, and volunteers for a day of spooky, silly, and safe fun.
Every year, we strive to grow the carnival and other events with new activities, more community involvement, and bigger smiles.

Event history
The Shasta Lake Halloween Carnival began in 2022 with a simple goal: bring free, festive fun to families in our community. What started as a small local event has grown each year — with more booths, more activities, and more Halloween magic added annually. We've worked hard to stretch out the fun and draw in bigger crowds, all while keeping it community-centered and completely free to attend.
Event highlights
From classic carnival games and trick-or-treat booths to costume contests, local vendors, and live music, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Our event space is transformed with spooky-but-playful decorations that set the perfect Halloween mood, and the kids absolutely love our giant bounce houses and hands-on activities. Every corner of the park is filled with laughter, photo ops, and memory-making moments.
